Life Verse: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.”

Testimony: A neighbor girl invited me to church when I was 4 years old. My parents believed in God, but did not attend church; however they faithfully took me to church because I wanted to attend. Finally, at the age of 12, I accepted Christ as my Savior and was baptized. That decision began an incredible journey with the Lord. He has guided and directed me in paths that I would never have imagined nor dreamed possible.

Who are the important people in your life?  Husband, Wayne; Daughter, Colleen; Son, Brian; Daughter-in-law, Katie; Grandchildren, Chelsea, Katherine, Isaac, Naomi, and Annagrace; Dog, Dottie; and other dear family and friends.

What is your day job?  Same as ministry role

What do you like to do in your free time?  Spend time with family and friends, play games, read, sew, walk, and go to the beach.

What do you love to do in ministry?  I love to teach children about Jesus, hear them sing praises to the Lord (Vacation Bible School is my favorite week); work with our many dedicated volunteers, and have the incredible privilege of baptizing a child who has accepted Christ. 

What is something most people don’t know about you? I have always loved baseball, to watch and to play, especially with my kids and grandchildren.

How did you first come to Village? Why did you stay? We came to Village 27 years ago to make sure our kids were in a good strong youth program and because of the Bible teaching/preaching of Pastor Jensen. We stayed because we found exactly what we were looking for!

What’s on your reading list?  For pleasure I like Christian mysteries, romance, and find Sarah Young’s devotional books a great way to begin the day. As a Children’s Director I appreciate Mark Holmen’s books, books by Turansky & Miller, as well as Henry &Townsend.
