Asian American Fellowship

AAF is Village’s ministry group for Asian Americans (or English-speaking Asians generally) and others who have a close connection to or heart for that community. We meet on a regular basis for fellowship and study. Our Mission Statement is to glorify God through Asian Americans by celebrating their culture, ministering to their needs, connecting them to the wider Body, mobilizing them for ministry, and reaching the unchurched among them.

Friday Study Fellowship

This is a time for our entire group to come together for fellowship through praise, study of the Word (or other Christian topic), small group sharing, and prayer. We typically meet at church every Friday, except the last Friday of the month, from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Fireside Room (basement level of the Chapel building), taking a winter break for most of December and a summer break from July-August. Childcare is provided for kids age 3 and up (infants can just stay with their parents), with parents chipping in to help cover the cost of a hired sitter, $3 for 1st child, $5 total for 2 or more. Child drop off opens at 6:50 pm in Room 235 (upstairs level of Children’s Ministry building.)

Sunday Lunches

The on-campus Sunday lunches generally occur twice monthly year-round (off in December), typically on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, from 12:30-2:00 pm (following the 11:00 am service) in room Columbia A (off the Sanctuary lobby.) This is a time to simply enjoy good food, fellowship, welcome newcomers, and have some light but directed discussion on a topic or question of the day. Cost is $5/person, $3/young child, with a $15 max per family (first-time visitors free!), and free childcare (kids age 3 and up) is provided during the discussion time. An rsvp request is sent out by e-mail on the weeks we are meeting.
