We encourage everyone who considers Village their “church home” to join us in covenant community through church membership.
Membership at Village is a great way for you to
- deepen your sense of belonging
- connect more deeply with your spiritual family
- more fully exercise your God-given spiritual gifts within and beyond the walls of Village (as some ministries roles require membership, e.g., short term mission trips)
- demonstrate your agreement with the leaders/shepherds God has placed over you at Village.
In becoming a Village member you also reinforce your commitment to:
- Actively follow Christ (Luke 9:23)
- Identification with Christ’s death and resurrection through the one-time act of baptism
- Give generously of your time, talents, and finances to and through Village
- Be active in the ministry and service at Village
- Attend a service of your choice
- Belong to a Life Group
Through the process of becoming a member of Village you will
- share with Villager leadership the story of how you came faith in Christ and when you were baptized
- attend a Discover Village class
- affirm the Village Declaration of Faith and By-Laws and enter in to a covenant with Village
- be interviewed by a Pastor prior to your referral to Elder Board for approval
