| Welcome to Promiseland... LIVE THE ADVENTURE! | |
What is Promiseland?
Promiseland is a child targeted ministry committed to teaching biblical truths in a relevant, creative way in a large group setting and modeling a loving, biblical community in a small group where life change happens best.
|
THE TONS OF FUN ZONE creates an opportunity for children to enter a welcoming, non-threatening environment. Children can engage in high-interest activities like games, crafts, and special events. Though these games have a link to the Bible stories in the curriculum, they do not require any previous knowledge or specialized skill. TONS OF FUN ZONE is not so much a time to hone skills, but a time to build relationships with adult leaders and peers.

|
LARGE GROUP is a high energy time that is going to capture the imaginations of the children and open their eyes and hearts to Bible truths that will impact their lives in incredible ways! Children spend time worshipping through music and hearing the biblical teaching. Teaching the Bible creatively is a core value of the Promiseland program. In LIVE THE ADVENTURE!, the teaching is done through various means of drama.

SMALL GROUP/SHEPHERDING GROUPS are a highly interactive time facilitated by gifted age-graded leaders called shepherds. These leaders will build a bridge between the teaching time and life application using questions and activities that are specifically age designed. Intentional shepherding means making a commitment to stay with a group of kids to disciple them and help them become more like Christ. While volunteers of Promiseland strive to provide important biblical information in a creative way that is relevant to a child's life, they also understand that building a relationship with a child may be the most effective teaching tool of all. But that's just the beginning. Shepherds have the awesome privilege, as authentic Christ followers, of representing Jesus as we meet and talk with children each week and model what it means to be a follower of Christ.
