Women caring for women is the heart of our ministry. We are created for friendship with God and one another, and there is no better place to discover both of these than Village. You’ll find practical support, spiritual guidance and genuine acceptance to help you navigate life’s realities, responsibilities and relationships. Whether you participate in an ongoing Bible Study or Life Group or simply enjoy the company of other women hiking, quilting or at a special event, you’ll be revived and encouraged as you pursue the many roles God has given you.

Bible Study

Summer 2018

Sacred Space
Tuesday nights: 6:45 – 8:30 pm
last gathering is August 14

Join other women this summer for a 6 week  journey towards experiencing God as we grow in understanding ourselves. Each session will begin promptly at 7 pm and will include input from facilitators on knowing God through self-discovery and through time alone with God and His Word.  We will conclude each session with sharing with one another in small groups.

Chris Johnson and Hannah Haskell will be leading our time and are excited to help us engage with the One who loves us!

Questions? contact Chris Johnson or Jen Spickelmier

School year Bible Studies and gathering will resume in September.

Monthly Gatherings for Working Women
Join groups of Village women (and friends) working in different areas of town for a monthly gathering. Our goal is to connect working women together in order to build relationships, to encourage and to learn from each other. Times and locations change each month, so check the events page for the next gathering, or contact the following women:

Beaverton “Meet Up” – contact Lori Harris

Downtown Lunch – contact  Jen Spickelmier

Tigard Lunch – contact Emily Hill

Hikes & Rambles

What better way to enjoy God’s creation than hiking with a group of women! The focus of the Village Hikes & Rambles is for women to walk side by side, in the same direction, through God’s creation towards health, support and friendship. We meet periodically for local hikes and rambles. Email Dorothy Kelson for more information and/or visit our events page for upcoming hikes.

Suppers for Six

Join a small group of women for a year of sharing food, hopes, dreams & what God does for us each day by meeting regularly for supper. Come with open hearts to make new and deeper relationships with the women of Village as you share, pray and listen to each other in a family setting around the table.

Contact Veta Fritts about being placed in a group.

Meals Ministry

Village Meals Ministry is an ideal opportunity to connect with and care for others by providing food in times of crisis or need. Contact Jean Alleman for more information.

Join us every Thursday from 10-11:15 am in the Bridge Room (down the hall from the Chapel) to pray for God’s Kingdom work in our Women’s Ministries and for individual requests. If you have questions contact Denise Phillips.

Quilters Ministry

A ministry of love and care for the Village family. Regularly meets Monday mornings (during the school year) in the Bridge Room from 9:30am-1:00pm. Quilters welcome. For more information, please contact Janet Morningstar.
