Village Baptist Church

Our pastors encourage all who attend Village to join the church as members. It is a simple process and has great value. It will increase your sense of belonging to this church body, and it is required for participation in some ministry roles and church wide decisions.

Here is what is involved:

You have actively received Christ's payment for your sins, by telling God in prayer that you understand what Christ did for you on the cross and that you want Him to rule your life. (John 1:12, Romans 10:9, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
You have been baptized as a believer, as a public testimony of your faith in Jesus. If you have not yet been baptized, let us know and we can tell you what's involved to do so here at Village. (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 6:3-4)
Fill out a Village Member Profile Application. (available for download below or by calling the church office)
Meet with a Village pastor. (We will call you to make an appointment when we receive your Profile application.)
Read and sign off that you agree with Village's Statement of Faith and Bylaws. (available for download below or by calling the church office)

After these simple steps have been completed, the Elders will approve your membership at their next meeting, and you will be informed you are officially a new member. Finally, you will be invited to a "New Members Dessert" at Pastor John's house so we can celebrate together your being a part of the Village family.
