23-27 June - Tilikum Retreat Center
Day Camp volunteers are needed! Day Camp Counselors must be entering the 11th grade or be at least 16 years old. You must be entering the 9th grade or be at least 14 years old to be a Junior Counselor. Volunteer Application Forms can be found in the church office or by contacting Ms. Donna.

Steps for Life Walkathon
10 May - Pioneer Courthouse Square
Come be a part of the Pregnancy Resource Centers' annual Steps for Life Walkathon. Help support the Pregnancy Resource Centers as they show Christ's love and compassion for women and teens who face an unplanned pregnancy. Wanted: Volunteer Baristas
Hey Villagers, please consider joining our volunteer barista team at the Village Cafe. We provide a warm greeting to all our customers. What better way to give a good start to someone's day than with a nice smile and a hot cup of java? We could use a few new hands on our team for Saturday night and Sunday morning shifts. Volunteer for our Landscape Team
We are looking for volunteers to be a part of our church landscape team. Our purchase of the South Village and Rita Drive homes means extra work is required to keep them looking neat and trim. The team would be involved in spreading bark dust, weeding, raking leaves and pruning shrubs and trees. If you would like to be a part of the team, please contact Alan Vore or Scott Moore in the church office.

American Red Cross Blood Drive
On the second Thursday of each month, Village hosts an American Red Cross Blood Drive. You may sign up to donate blood at this drive by calling (503) 284-4040.
New volunteers are needed to serve at the monthly blood drives. Please contact Kent Ahlschlager or Pastor Randy Archer if you would like to join the team.

Join Our "Heart-to-Heart" Home Visitation Team
Would you like to encourage those who are shut-in or convalescing? Demonstrate Christ's love to Villagers who are homebound and unable to enjoy weekly fellowship with us - be a part of our "Heart-to-Heart" visitation team. Help Stock Our Food Bank!
The Food Bank at Village assists families in the community who are in need. Each month we highlight a few items that help make up the food baskets we provide. See below for the items we are in need of. We are asking Villagers to be a part of this ministry by contributing these items to the Food Bank. Just drop them off in the barrel at the top of the north stairway leading to the Gym. Thank you for your participation in this important outreach to our neighbors.

Donate Food to Migrant Work Camps
Food items are being collected as we plan to minister to camps in our area. Needed items include: dried beans, rice, cornmeal, flour and canned jalepenos. Please drop off items in the box at the top of the stairs leading down to the Gym. Contact Pastor Mauricio Rivas for more information.

Village Food Ministry
Do you have a servant's heart? Do you want to be able to connect with others within the church community? The opportunity is in the Food Ministries - whether you are a head chef or a chief bottle washer - or anywhere in between. You are needed AND wanted. Please contact John Graf.
Be a Part of Our Reception Team
Village is looking for volunteers to be a part of our Reception Team. Volunteers will be placed on an on-call list and may be asked to assist with food preparation, setup, serving and cleanup for memorial services and other church functions. If you have a servant's heart and a few hours to spare, we'd love to have you be a part of the team. Please write "reception team" on your Friendship Card or contact Scott Moore in the church office.
Help With Our Parking Lot Ministry
Each weekend, Village men help direct people into the right parking spot. They are the first smile a guest sees and, in times of rain, provide umbrellas to those in need. You can be one of those who assists and welcomes all to Village. Let your light shine first in the parking lot. No experience is necessary. Volunteers are assigned on a rotating schedule. If you would like to help out with this ministry, please contact Art Kauffman.

Join our Nursing Home Chapel Ministry
Looking for your place of involvement? Well, look no further. Villagers conduct regular chapel services at the Beaverton Rehab Center in Beaverton on the first and third Sundays of each month and at the Avamere Assisted Living Community in Bethany the last Sunday of every month. This is your opportunity to be a blessing and to be blessed. Sing along, visit with residents - whatever you can do, there is a place for you.
